So you say; Wow that was a coincidence or I knew that was going to happen.

So coincidence or Intuition?

You got it, Intuition. We are born with intuition and it’s free to access.

So why don’t we use it? Why don’t we keep it up?

It’s called our EGO that we bring aboard and set our higher self and Intuition to the side.  So I want to give you a couple tips on how to use your intuition so you can start using it again.

Using you intuition with build your confidence and make you feel more solid on decisions you make in your everyday life. Ha, and there will be no need to listen to everyone else make decisions for you.

How great will that feel? Making your own decisions and feeling confident you made a decision yourself. It will also help build your self-esteem and confidence.

It will be the new you! Believe me people will notice the change.

Here are your 3 tips:

1. When tapping into your Intuition at first you are going to want to start off with smaller decisions. As you build up on your confidence and trust; you can then use your intuition for anything.

2. When you first starting listening to your intuition you will find you will hear an answer then another one will pop in. This is you second guessing and your Ego jumping in. This is the tricky part that takes practice. But listen to the first thought, not the second one. Practice, practice, practice and don’t get frustrated.

3. Practice makes perfect. Well I don’t expect you to be perfect. But there is discipline in this. You need to use your intuition daily and you need to start with the smaller stuff and move up. Don’t get flustered. Trust in yourself and build confidence and keep practicing. Before you know it, you will be a pro!

Now go use your Intuition!!

There is a lot of back and forth conversation about bad Spirit’s.

Let me ask you. Do you believe in bad Spirits?
And if you do, where does this belief come from?

Did you answer, it came from the television and internet or someone else had an experience??

What about your experiences? Why are you letting others fear driven thoughts into your thinking?

I believe everyone is open to have their own thoughts and beliefs. But when we over-think and over- analyze something we are coming from a fear-based thought. When we are in fear, it usually is not a true one or good one.

This is why some people believe there are bad spirits.

For my own personal beliefs, I do not believe in bad spirits. I believe there are lost, confused or upset spirits. Here are a couple reasons I Believe this:

We need to go way back and look at the veil above us where spirit would pass through. Many years ago, when the veil between our world and the spirit realm was thick, it was hard for spirit to pass through. This lead to some spirits getting lost here as they couldn’t pass through the veil.

When we encountered them, we reacted with fear. Other times, some spirits would be confused and feel they didn’t die. They would remain in their house and could not understand why someone else was living there. They then would make noises or move things to draw attention.

Fast-forward the years by and the veil has become very thin. Allowing for spirit to pass with ease through it. Not as many spirit left wandering around here. That means less experience with spirit.

Another reason is a spirit that may be in not so good of a place. Yes, spirits do have personalities just like they did here on earth. I have encountered a spirit that had a darker feel to its energy because it was upset over his actions here on earth. The spirit seemed to give off a darker feel. This spirit was not bad, just upset until I connected with him to see why he was in this state. After the connection the energy calmed and he went away.

So next time you think you are around a bad spirit, just thank it for making its presence known and tell spirit to go cross over as they are no longer needed here.

Have you encountered a spirit? How did it feel and what did you do about it? Let me know!

Share this with your friends and family.

Be open to Spirit’s messages

An open heart and mind enable the messages to flow more freely and easily. If you are closed off or worrying about what you will hear, it can cause the energy and messages from Spirit to come through slowly.

Put away your expectations

Spirit knows exactly what you information you need at the time of your session. You may come hoping for specific answers or information – which you may or may not get. If you have a certain outcome in mind that doesn’t materialize you may overlook or discount important messages.

Prepare questions

You may wonder why you need to prepare questions if Spirit knows what you need to hear. This is because part of your growth comes in articulating what you want guidance on. If this is the case, Spirit will prompt you for your questions during your session. Or not. If articulating your questions isn’t part of your growth or you don’t have any specific questions, Spirit will provide messages without them.

Relax

Sit back and take in what Spirit offers you. We record sessions so there is no need to worry about trying to remember what messages come through or to write them down.

Remember that the guidance is offered to you in your best interest and relates to this particular time of your life. You will only receive information you are ready for. If you want to ignore the guidance provided, you are free to do so.

Reflect

Give yourself time after your session to process the information you have received. You may want to journal about it, reflect on it with a walk or a run, or share it with a loved one. However you process things, do give yourself the time.

Have you ever used the term “Karma will get you” or “Karma’s a BI*$@”?

Well, I’m sure we have all used them. But do you really believe in Karma or know what it is?

I find this is the biggest problem. People hear the good old traditions from others using different terminologies and have no clue what they mean or how powerful the words outcome can be.

So what does Karma mean to you? And how have you used it in a sentence?

Karma is the law of moral causation. Another way to look at it is the law of cause and effect.

It is the principal of intent and actions of an individual’s influence for a future outcome.

Good actions and deeds that you strive for and put forth into the universe will have good end results. Therefore, good Karma.

Now if your intent is set forth in the universe with bad deeds and suffering and dark thoughts then that’s what you should expect back from Karma.

With all that being said, this is where results can be noticed from our past actions and present doings. We do however have the choice to change our patterns and habits. But that’s not to say something from the past will not still show up in the future. If it does show up, you need to ask yourself how are you going to handle it and deal with it. This does give us the strength to rise above, to hopefully have a more positive outcome. Or see it in a different light.

To sum it all up; we create our own Karma: our own cause and effect. Karma is neither fate nor imposed upon us by someone else or some mysterious power. It is one’s own doing reacting on oneself and as mentioned above you have the possibility to divert the course of Karma to some extent. It all depends on you.

So how will you write your Karma story?

Don’t forget to hit the Like button if you found this helpful!

Do you have any Karma experience you want to share? We would love to hear about it.

Worrying? Having trouble making a big decision?  Feeling overwhelmed by life? Wonder if you are on the right path? Are there things you fear?

A Channeling Session can address these matters and more.

During a Channeling session, Spirit (Higher Source/Universe/God/All – however you refer to Spirit) will provide you with messages that address what is happening in your life.

Spirit offers unbiased guidance to you that can answer worries and questions you have about your career, a health matter or a family member. You may receive messages about a past life that explains why are afraid to be in a house alone or why you have a constant pressure around your chest. One of your Spirit Guides may come forward to be introduced. A loved one may come through with a message for you.

Each session is unique to the individual and provides information that the recipient needs to know at the time of the session.

Our clients have shared the following benefits they’ve received from a Channeling session:

  • Happiness
  • Comfort
  • Clarity
  • Peace
  • Reassurance
  • Release of fear
  • Lessening of anxiety
  • Increased insight
  • Easing of grief

You may be a little wary about having a session, however, there is nothing to fear. Messages from Spirit come from love and no one receives information that they do not need or cannot handle. You will only receive information you are ready for and that you need to know at that point in your life.

Why not give it a try? Everyone can benefit from Spirit’s loving guidance.

So intent can mean different things to different people depending on the conversation. The “Intent” I wish to inform you about today in this blog is about the Intent that you set forth into the universe. May it be connecting with spirit, channeling or even asking the universe for something.

Let’s dig in to the dirt and put this to practice. Ready? Let’s go….

You need to concentrate on a specific statement you are going to be using. This is where you need the thought of the intent to be clear, focused and do not have the solution or the outcome you are looking for. Usually this is the hardest part people have to overcome. Many want to provide the route of outcome to the specific question or goal they may be intending. So they are thinking of what they want and then they think of how they want it to happen. Do not do this, it will not benefit you.

So here is an example of how NOT to send out your intent. The scenario is, you have a family member that is ill and you want them to have a full recovery. Here is the incorrect way for sending out the intent…. I ask for the highest healing spirit to heal my friend that is sick with a bad virus. I want you heal them right away with the medication so we can bring them home as it’s their birthday. OK, so this is all wrong. It will be so scrambled when it is sent out to the universe, nothing will happen.

Remember your intent needs to be clear, from the heart (you truly want this healing to happen) and then you need to release it. So you could try something like this. “I ask for Jane Doe to be surrounded with the green light of healing. I thank you for healing Jane Doe fully and completely. Thank you”

As you can see your intent shows the person or thing you are requesting and you are stating it in past tense as if Jane is already healed. Also, the one holding this intent has to go into this  believing and knowing that Jane is healed.

If you go in subconsciously not truly wanting something or are afraid and unsure, you are counteracting what you want. No healing with take place then.

So remember intent is a big thing if you want it to work on all levels for any goals, prayers or accomplishments you may have.

Yes, you have many Spirit Guides with you!

You may not be aware that you have more than one Guide to help you during your lifetime.

You have one dedicated Spirit Guide that joins you at birth and stays with you until death, what I will call your “Main” Guide. Other Spirit Guides come into your life for varying durations and you will have some simultaneously.

Guides come in and out of your life for specific reasons.

Spirit Guides come into your life to help you with challenges, growth, and learning. These Guides have a specific purpose and stay as long as you need them.

Sometimes Guides stay for a few weeks, months or many years. These Spirit Guides may be with you constantly or they may come and go over their assigned time.

For example, just before I took my first Intuitive course, I had a Guide name Helen suddenly appear in my life. She announced her arrival as tingles on a specific area of my upper right arm. When I asked, Helen explained she was there to help me with my training.

The tingles were always there and I would check in when I needed Helen’s help grasping or clarifying the concepts I was learning. Helen stayed with me for a few months after I finished my second round of training as a professional Intuitive.

I have another Spirit Guide, Therese, that comes and goes, using tingles on my right forearm to announce her presence. She pops in to remind me to have fun and not take things so seriously. She has been with me close to two years.

Your Spirit Guides come in many guises.

Often, when people think of Spirit Guides, they picture them as people. And many guides do take on human form. But just as many don’t.

I know people who have Guides that are animals, insects, rocks, aliens or just beams of light.

The form a Guide will take on has special significance for you and for the reason they are with you. And they may change over time.

Your Main Guide can introduce you to your other Guides.

If you are wondering if you have more than one Spirit Guide (who you may already know) or feel like you have more than one, ask the Guide you are familiar with (usually your Main Guide) to introduce you to the others.

As I’ve said, my new guide Helen showed up as tingles on my right arm. Most of my Guides show up as tingles. When that happens, I always connect to Stephen, my Main Guide, and ask him to make the introduction.

If you have never connected with one of your Guides and want to, please use Karen’s 4 Tips to Connect with Your Spirit Guide.

Ask your Guides what brought them to you.

Some of us may feel shy about asking our Spirit Guides why they are with us. Maybe we feel that is too demanding and that we should just wait until they want to tell us.

There is no need to stand on ceremony! Ask and if your Spirit Guide believes the time is right for you to know and understand their purpose, they will tell you. If the time isn’t right, they will tell you that, too! And you can always ask again later.

Don’t be afraid of any Spirit Guide that comes into your life.

All Spirit Guides come into our lives to teach us something. Sometimes we may be afraid of what our Guides might tell us. We shouldn’t be because the messages come with love and a Guide can bring knowledge to help us release a fear.

Do you have trouble loving yourself or others? What about forgiveness? Let me give you a sneak preview on how the heart chakra may be part of the culprit!

Many may know it is not so easy to love themselves or even love others. This is why I want to help you open up your heart chakra also known as your 4th chakra (Anahata). By balancing this chakra it will hopefully help you to start loving yourself and others and be more open to forgive.

Learning to love yourself and others plays a major factor for a happier, healthier life.
So where is this chakra located? The location of this chakra is actually so fitting. It is located in the middle of your chest with its energy emanating your physical heart.

It is very important to keep all of your chakras in balance but to love others, forgive yourself and others you need this chakra vortex to be radiant emerald green open and balanced. Let’s face it, we all want to be loved, but to love ourselves is so important to our overall health. We must love and accept ourselves before we can love and truly accept others.

When you can open up your heart chakra you may find life is that much easier, as you look at it with a different view. When you learn to forgive yourself, you emotionally let go of that baggage on the subconscious level. Also, to forgive others it will have the same ripple effect as forgiving yourself. Who does not want to feel light, happy and lessen their worries?

There is also that good old saying “think with your heart not your head”. I like to say “yes to this all the way”. When we think with our head our “ego” gets in the way and it is usually not a true meaningful thought or decision. Just because you think with your heart, does not mean you give in and are always going to be the nicest person ever. It just shows that you can think and react in the best interest for any person or yourself keeping your head/ego out of the way. This is a tough one for most. It’s just practice at slowing down and really thinking about the situations that you are in. You can do it. Just give it a try.

I would like to guide you on a short balancing session of your heart chakra to help you open up and re-balance it so you can start loving yourself and others. Lorraine and I also offer Chakra Balances, which touch on all of your Chakras.

But let’s start with just the heart chakra first.

I would like you to notice the way you feel now and then again at the end of the balancing. Just take a small note.

Let’s start by finding a comfortable spot. Next, try and still your mind.

Breathe in your nose and out your mouth. I want you to visualize the center of your chest where your heart chakra would be located. Take a look and visualize the colour. Is it green? Or does it have dark spots on it? Is it uniform? And take a look at the size of it. Is it big or small?

Now, I want you to picture a stream of white light coming from above that is going to come through the top of your head and down inside of the heart chakra and clean out all of the dark spots and imbalances. Keep using this white light until there is only sparking green light.

Now reshape it so it resembles a sphere or 3D disc and it is all uniform. You want to make sure that the size of it is not too big and not too small. Use your intuition and make it the size that you feel is right. There is no right or wrong here.

Now take a few deep breaths in and out. Just relax for a minute or two.

How do you feel? When you took that last breath did a smile come across your face? I would love to hear from you and any stories you may have about balancing and clearing your heart chakra. Or by doing this exercise daily, has it helped you with loving yourself and others. Have you found it is easier to let go of little stuff and forgive?

The holidays are over and you are back in the swing of things again. Are you feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the world? Or is your mantra still “I’m so stressed!”

You didn’t get a breather and life is speeding up rather than slowing down, right?

We are being stretched in a million different directions and rarely feel calm, peaceful and balanced. So what can we do when becoming a hermit isn’t an option?

Try These 3 Tips

1. Declutter Your Mind

When we talk about hoarders, we automatically think of people who collect crap in their homes.

We never consider all the junk we collect in our minds.

I bet there is a lot of stuff in your mind that you don’t need to hold onto. To-do lists. Cringe-inducing memories. Grievances against colleagues/family members/friends/fill-in-the-blank.

To-do lists are the easiest to deal with. Write it down. Once it’s recorded, you don’t need remember it. Et voila! Less clutter in your mind. (I would suggest keeping one to-do list – less stressful than trying to keep track of multiple lists)

As for the bad memories, grievances and resentments that you have stored up? Burn them! (Not literally. I don’t mean set fire to your head. ;))

Write each one down on paper. Pour in all the emotion you are feeling – don’t hold anything back. Then set fire to it (outdoors, in a safe place) and watch it go up flames. It’s gone! You won’t believe how cathartic this is.

Think of this as spring-cleaning for your peace of mind.

2. Step Back and Look At the Bigger Picture

In those moments of stress, worry or rage, take a deep breath and take a mental step back. Then ask yourself, “Is it really that big a deal? Is this life-altering?”

For example, you’re rushing to work because you have a meeting. You are stressed because the traffic/subway/bus isn’t moving and you are going to be late.

Your blood pressure rises and your anger builds and your mood gets blacker.

Been there myself. Not a comfortable feeling. Certainly the opposite of calm and relaxed.

Ask yourself, “In the grand scheme of things, is it really a big deal if I’m late? How important is this to my life overall?”. The answer puts things into perspective quickly.

It doesn’t have to be about being late; it can be about mostly anything. Stepping back and looking at the situation from a broader perspective can help reduce stress and worry and bring you back to calmness.

3. Unplug From Technology

We’ve all heard this. It’s probably the hardest thing for us to do. We all like being connected to our family, friends and community.  We don’t want to miss a thing.

But there is a reason unplugging is touted by many. It makes a huge difference to achieving a little more balance in your life.

Start small. Turn off your phones and devices for a short time and do something that brings you enjoyment or peace. Whether it’s with others (dining with friends, playing with your kids) or solitary (taking a walk or meditating), it doesn’t matter.

Doing something you really enjoy with others puts you wholly in the moment, leaving no room to worry about anything else.

A solitary activity gives you time alone with your thoughts, with no distractions, and allows you to reconnect with yourself.

Both types of activities center you. Doing one thing, and one thing only, is calming as you aren’t stressed out trying to multi-task. And you won’t miss much. That text/tweet/facebook update will wait.

These aren’t earth-shattering tricks. They are simple but effective. Keeping it simple makes them easier to implement. Try them out, you might be surprised how much they help bring you peace, calm and balance and restore your balance.

Do you have any tricks for restoring balance, peace and calm? We would love to hear them – and try them! Post a comment below, on our FaceBook page or on Twitter.

What is Reflexology?

Many have heard about it, but pass it off as if embarrassed to ask what it is.  Or others know what it is and do not realize the benefits reflexology has on their overall body and health.  So do you know what it is?

My goal for this blog is to help you understand Reflexology, its benefits to you and some history behind it all. Because by the end of this you will be calling to book an appointment! Just make sure you book with a certified reflexologist.

So let’s start with the origins of Reflexology. It actually reaches back to ancient Egypt as evidence from inscriptions noted on Ankhmahor, a physician’s tomb at Saqqara over four thousand years ago. Yep, that long ago!! There are hieroglyphics that translate to “Do not hurt me” with the practitioners reply of “I shall act so you praise me” It was determine the ancient art as practiced by early Egyptians is reflexology as we know it today.

Dr. William Fitzgerald an ear, nose and throat specialist working in Boston, London and Vienna, became familiar with zone therapy which is the precursor to modern reflexology. Dr. Fitzgerald wrote “humanity is awakening to the fact that sickness, in a large percentage of cases, is an error of body and mind” Dr. Fitzgerald discovered interesting facts, that with application of pressure to certain points it not only relieved pain but the majority of the underlying cause of illness.

Dr Joe Shelby-Riley worked hand in hand with Dr Fitzgerald to further develop zone therapy. Working with Dr. Riley was Eunice Ingham who in turn found that intermittent pressure on the feet of her patients produced benefits greater then pain relief, allowing the body to balance itself for better health. Through extensive foot reflexing and teaching the work, Eunice Ingham has become known as the Mother of Modern Reflexology, even with her passing in 1974.

So what does this all mean?

Reflexology promotes natural healing by applying pressure to specific points on the feet. These points correspond directly throughout our nervous system and relate to our internal organs and glands. Using controlled pressure, reflexology may be effective in promoting good health, alleviating pain & discomfort, preventing illness, reducing stress and increasing relaxation.

We do stand on our feet, many hours a day, yet we don’t even think about our feet. We complain about swollen feet, legs, sore backs and hips.

What do we do?

Take medications and complain. But for those who have discovered reflexology have found the secret.

Some worry about ticklish feet, but the right amount of pressure is applied to the feet, so there is no issue here. Reflexology is so relaxing you may find yourself dozing off!!

Even though Reflexologists cannot diagnosis, prescribe or treat issues, they can feel imbalances in your feet that correspond to your body and they may spend more time on these areas. This is why it is suggested to see your Reflexologist on a regular maintenance schedule. This will help maintain your overall health and help reduce illness.

Make sure you use a registered Reflexology Practitioner.  All registered practitioners will have a card to show you if you ask.  Also in Canada, there are insurance companies recognizing the benefits of reflexology and some companies are now covering reflexology.  Most teachers are now covered.  Call your insurance company to inquire.

Reflexology dates back thousands of years, but is on the rise with the amount of benefits it has to your health and affordability.

Have you ever had a reflexology session? I would love to get feedback on your session and how it has benefited you. Please leave a comment below.
