Your 6th Chakra is the Ajna or Third Eye Chakra. It is located between your eyebrows and gives a glorious and vibrant indigo or purple colour. It also resembles the image of an eye.

Have you noticed that you second guess your decisions or can’t even make them?

This Chakra governs your inner intuition and higher self.  You will know this Chakra is out of balance in this area if you are having troubles with feeling confident in pursuing goals, making decisions, and finding your direction or journey in life.  It also holds the TRUST factor in all areas.

When it is in balance, your connection to trusting yourself will not be questioned.  You will be content with the choices you make and will see good in any outcome.  You will not be looking for reassurance in any areas of your life and you can trust yourself and others.

Trying to connect with your Spiritual Self?

Another area the third eye chakra covers is connecting with the spiritual realm.  You will know if this chakra is out of balance if you are too much in your Head. You will also find that you may think and act on impulse.  You will have no real feelings or concern for any outcomes.  You may also only think in the now.  You may notice that you get headaches or foggy feelings on a regular basis if out of balance.

When in balance, you will enjoy each new day and what it has to offer.  Your outlook on life is positive even when you see obstacles.  You feel the love in everything and all around you.  You will have a better understanding of decisions and actions people make.  You will also trust your gut instincts without second guessing.  You will feel lighter, happy and have a positive outlook on life.

Have you been having health concerns with headaches, nervous system, pituitary gland, and sinuses?

You got it.  Your chakra may be out of balance if you are experiencing any of these issues related to this area. We tend to blame headaches and other issues on environmental change or too much work!!  But what’s the root cause?  The real question you need to ask, is your third eye chakra closed?

So how do I Balance this Chakra?

There are several ways you can restore balance to your third eye. You can meditate on it by using the meditation word SHAM. You can picture pouring light into it and cleansing it out. You can carry or meditate on a stone or crystal to restore balance. We suggest Fluorite for this Chakra as it is a particularly good for stabilising your energy and balancing and reconnecting you to your higher self.  It will help bring you the energy of confidence and trust as well as its an immune booster!!

You can also have an energy practitioner balance your Chakras for you.

Do you feel you can give and receive love and kindness equally?  How much do you love yourself and others?

Their qualities are all associated with your 4th chakra also known as your Heart /Anahata chakra.  It is located in the heart/centre area of your chest.  It is bright green in colour when balanced and is associated with your heart, lungs, mid-back and circulatory system.

How do I know if my Heart chakra is out of balance?

There are many ways to associate the physical elements and your heart chakra being out of balance.  A big one is how much do you love yourself?  Did you know that if you can’t accept and love yourself, you may find it hard to truly, fully love someone else?

Or do you have a hard time receiving from others but are always willing to give or vice-versa?  I’m sure just looking at that statement you can see the imbalance of it.  To have balance you need to be able to give and receive equally.  Now, this might not be the case to give and receive all at once.  But it eventually levels itself out.

You may also be feeling a lack of love from others, sad, hurt, betrayed or lonely.  These are also signs that your heart chakra may be out of balance.

What are some physical signs associated with the heart chakra?

Sometimes when we have physical hurdles they may be associated with an emotional attachment.  The heart chakra is associated with your mid-back, lungs, heart and circulatory system and it also influences the whole system and process of energy flow.  So when your health presents you with issues that connect to the heart chakra it may be due to an old attachment that you may be holding in your energy field on a subconscious level.

Bring Balance back and Move Your Life Forward.

Balance in the Heart Chakra really builds on connection, relationships, giving and receiving as it is the Chakra of Love. Using it’s meditation word YAM helps restore balance. Even the sound of it is powerful, no? Picturing a bright white, cleansing light entering it and cleansing it out and filling it up with emerald green will also help. Using a natural element like a stone to meditate on, sleep with/near, or carry around with you can also help. Spirit suggested Unakite to us as an aid for this Chakra because it is a great energy, healing and balancing properities.

If you feel you need more help in restoring balance to your 4th Chakra, an energy practitioner can also help you. We provide Chakra Balances led by our Spirit Guides who not only balance your Chakra energies but provide you insight as to why there might be an imbalance and how you can maintain balance in the future. Your 2nd Chakra is the Svadhisthana or Sacral Chakra. It is located between your belly button and your pelvic bone and is bright orange in colour.

Are you having issues in your relationship with intimacy, desire or feeling a lack of pleasure?

This Chakra governs Desire, Sexuality, Pleasure, and all planes of intimacy.  You will know this Chakra is out of balance in this area if you are having troubles with connecting with your partner.  If you are finding there is lack of intimacy or you have no sex drive.

When it is in balance, your connection will be one that you can not explain.  You will enjoy each others company and want to constantly maintain a healthy sex life and relationship.

How happy are you and do you find joy and fulfillment in everyday?

Another area the Sacral chakra governs is how you approach life and relationships in general.  You will know you’re out of balance when you are unhappy and feeling down all the time.  You have no confidence when meeting other people and engaging in relationships.  Also, feeling like every day is a failure and you are not motivated to reach goals.

When in balance, you will enjoy each new day and what it has to offer.  Your outlook on life is positive even when you see obstacles.  You see the obstacle, but you will figure how to get around it.  You are open and excited to meet and make conversation with new people and new relationships.

Have you been having health concerns with your lower back, bladder, kidneys, and digestion?

You got it.  Your chakra may be out of balance if you are experiencing any of these issues.  It’s funny how our energetic body is tied into our physical body.

You would be amazed at the number of people that get the full tune up with a Chakra Balance.  They can release what no longer serves them and they look face to face with what is holding them back or attached to them. By doing so they feel lighter, happier, healthier and they see themselves healing from the inside out.

So how do I Balance this Chakra?

There are several ways you can restore balance to your Sacral Chakra. You can meditate on it by using the meditation word Vam. You can picture pouring light into it and cleansing it out. You can carry or meditate on a stone or crystal to restore balance. We suggest Carnelian for this Chakra as it is a particularly good for stabilising your energy and emotions, restoring vitality and supporting us through stressful times and brings motivation. The way we see our health these days have changed.  People these days tend to be more open to natural healing from naturopaths, reflexologists, and osteopaths.  They combined these with traditional medicine.  People are reaching out and using different modalities to accommodate different aspects of their health for healing.  Many are realizing that by keeping balanced, grounded, and healthy energy field or Chakras system benefits their overall health of their body, mind, and spirit.  When these are maintained, you carry less stress, anxiety and fewer illness.

One way to help keep balanced is by maintained healthy Chakra system.  Our Chakras are our life energy vortices that can act as sponges and absorbed years of memories and experiences.  They also correspond to physical aspects of our body.  For example, your Root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is red in colour.  It is associated with security, survival, and everything solid in our life (our home, our body, and the ground we walk on, etc.). The root chakra is about your family, ancestors, and cultural beliefs. It is related to our connection with prosperity and how we attract it into our life. When the root chakra is balanced, you feel grounded and have an inner sense of security. You feel supported and can manifest opportunities and abundance. When it is unbalanced, feelings of fear, insecurity and not feeling like yourself. On a physical level, you may have issues with your lower back, kidneys, bladder, circulatory and reproductive issues.

Did you know you can use different stones to help balance your Chakras and aid in certain illness?  Stones carry unique properties and healing qualities.  Chakra stones are used to activate, balance, or increase the energy of the Chakra.  Healing is based on the belief that stones or crystals have the natural healing frequency that can be activated and contribute to moving or balancing the energy around to heal from within.  These stones also carry a specific vibration that correspond to the Chakra centres to aid in rebalancing, grounding, and healing.

I know there are so many to choose from and it can be confusing on which stone is the best for each Chakra.  Some stones do have similar qualities and can be used on different Chakras. So, you got it, it makes the decision even more challenging to make.

I decided to connect with my spirit Guide, Grace and asked her for guidance on which stones she felt were top notch for balancing, grounding, and healing the Chakras. And she did just that.  It was not a short easy process either.  There was lots of time, effort, thought and reasoning into why she chose each one.

I could not agree more with her choice of stones and am excited about what Grace has chosen for us.  We are delighted to share with you her selection. Visit our Chakra Balance Page (scroll down to the bottom) where you can get detailed information about each stone and their amazing properties.

What do you think of these stones? Like it on Facebook if you agree or share with friends as they may find them beneficial for themselves or a loved one!

Do you have trouble loving yourself or others? What about forgiveness? Let me give you a sneak preview on how the heart chakra may be part of the culprit!

Many may know it is not so easy to love themselves or even love others. This is why I want to help you open up your heart chakra also known as your 4th chakra (Anahata). By balancing this chakra it will hopefully help you to start loving yourself and others and be more open to forgive.

Learning to love yourself and others plays a major factor for a happier, healthier life.
So where is this chakra located? The location of this chakra is actually so fitting. It is located in the middle of your chest with its energy emanating your physical heart.

It is very important to keep all of your chakras in balance but to love others, forgive yourself and others you need this chakra vortex to be radiant emerald green open and balanced. Let’s face it, we all want to be loved, but to love ourselves is so important to our overall health. We must love and accept ourselves before we can love and truly accept others.

When you can open up your heart chakra you may find life is that much easier, as you look at it with a different view. When you learn to forgive yourself, you emotionally let go of that baggage on the subconscious level. Also, to forgive others it will have the same ripple effect as forgiving yourself. Who does not want to feel light, happy and lessen their worries?

There is also that good old saying “think with your heart not your head”. I like to say “yes to this all the way”. When we think with our head our “ego” gets in the way and it is usually not a true meaningful thought or decision. Just because you think with your heart, does not mean you give in and are always going to be the nicest person ever. It just shows that you can think and react in the best interest for any person or yourself keeping your head/ego out of the way. This is a tough one for most. It’s just practice at slowing down and really thinking about the situations that you are in. You can do it. Just give it a try.

I would like to guide you on a short balancing session of your heart chakra to help you open up and re-balance it so you can start loving yourself and others. Lorraine and I also offer Chakra Balances, which touch on all of your Chakras.

But let’s start with just the heart chakra first.

I would like you to notice the way you feel now and then again at the end of the balancing. Just take a small note.

Let’s start by finding a comfortable spot. Next, try and still your mind.

Breathe in your nose and out your mouth. I want you to visualize the center of your chest where your heart chakra would be located. Take a look and visualize the colour. Is it green? Or does it have dark spots on it? Is it uniform? And take a look at the size of it. Is it big or small?

Now, I want you to picture a stream of white light coming from above that is going to come through the top of your head and down inside of the heart chakra and clean out all of the dark spots and imbalances. Keep using this white light until there is only sparking green light.

Now reshape it so it resembles a sphere or 3D disc and it is all uniform. You want to make sure that the size of it is not too big and not too small. Use your intuition and make it the size that you feel is right. There is no right or wrong here.

Now take a few deep breaths in and out. Just relax for a minute or two.

How do you feel? When you took that last breath did a smile come across your face? I would love to hear from you and any stories you may have about balancing and clearing your heart chakra. Or by doing this exercise daily, has it helped you with loving yourself and others. Have you found it is easier to let go of little stuff and forgive?

Leave a comment below about your experience. I love hearing from you!

The Chakra system is viewed as the energetic map of the body. It is where we can shift our energy to re-energize, balance and bring peace to help eliminate stress and disease.

Ancient Hindu Texts (1,500-500 B.C) showed knowledge of the Chakras written in the Vedas. The Vedas are the largest, oldest written traditions of text in India constructed by the upper Caste Brahmins. The name Chakra derives for the Sanskrit word “Wheel or Turning”. The Chakra system was perceived as a column of energy vortexes that start at the bottom of the spine and move up to the crown of the head. This is what makes up the 7 major Chakras. Each Chakra vibrates and spins at its own frequency and absorbs energy from the environment around them. For this reason it’s vital to have your Chakras balanced as other peoples energy from emotions, baggage or really anything can stick to you and make you feel sluggish and unbalanced causing illness that eventually can become a disease.

The location of each Chakra (energy center) corresponds to an area of the body’s anatomy and each is associated with a different colour. Starting at the bottom of the 7 chakras you have the Root Chakra (Red, Earth), Sacral Chakra (Orange, Water), Solar Plexus (Yellow, Fire), Heart chakra (Green, Air), Throat Chakra (Light Blue, Ether), Third Eye (Indigo) and Crown Chakra (Violet or White).

Each chakra also has its own Sanskrit name. Muladhara, Svadhisthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna, Sahaswara. Chakra is a Sanskrit* name for wheel.

By tapping into someone’s Chakra system many blockages, stresses and health issues can present themselves. With the help of a Chakra Balance, a practitioner can help bring forth these issues and it may help you resolve them. Doing this will help with the vitality of your overall health and reduce stress to the body and mind.
